Aaron Moreno started to play chess when he was seven years old at Whitmore Elementary School. He began to compete in chess tournaments at this time and fell in love with the strategy and dynamic interactions of the game. Since that time he has refined his skills and has been teaching in libraries, community centers and schools throughout Tucson for the past year. While visiting the US Chess Center in Washington DC he was able to see the far reaching effect of chess education onto all aspects of childhood development and is passionate about training future chess aficionados to develop critical thinking and patience.
