AT FIRST GLANCE, brothers Gordon and George Ruan may seem like polar opposites. Gordon is a senior; George is a subfreshman. The former is calm and collected; the latter is excitable and energetic. University High School Urbana Shocks IHSA with State Chess Championship Victory

In a battle that made David and Goliath seem like a fair fight, tiny University High School in Urbana with an enrollment of 245 faced off against the top ranked Lincolnshire Stevenson whose enrollment is 4545 at the IHSA State High School Chess championship.
