INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF TUCSON
(IST) GRAND PRIX SERIES #1
SEPTEMBER 29TH, 2012
HOW THE GRAND PRIX SYSTEM WORKS: This system is extremely popular in Europe and we thought this is a wonderful time to bring it to Tucson. The Grand Prize Winners will be decided based on their total score in the 3 Grand Prix tournaments throughout the chess season. It will depend on player’s total score in the tournaments together with their added bonus points.
In other words, these tournaments in the series will be the replicas of tournaments such as the Tucson Chinese Center and Foothills Open tournaments but with the pleasant twist of having a chance to win also combined prizes at the end when attending more than 2 of those events.
