This was the last of the 2012-2013 Grand Prix series held at the International School of Tucson (IST)
This time the tournament was attached to the Western Alliance Chess Camp but normally it is a “freestanding” event. It also showcased cash prizes in the top 2 sections.
When the series are exhausted, the overall winners are determined by the amount of points they gathered in their respective section throughout the year. The below part is posted under the recap for the Western Alliance Summer Chess Camp also.
