The BIO5 at the University of Arizona will host its Annual Winter Open on December 7th.

This will be the 2nd USCF rated Winter events the Bio5 will hold and we do hope to make this a year long cycle.

Players of all age groups and levels are welcome and encouraged to participate.

It will be a 4-Round, 4 Section USCF rated tournament.

The time control will be 55 min+5 sec per player per game.

There will be various prizes (trophies, medals, etc) per section not only for the winners but based on various subcategories (for example- a possible prize best game, best performance, age and so on).

The OPEN Section will feature  FIDE titled players and we do hope that particular section will be packed with best Tucson and Phoenix players as it will aim to fill the gap left by “Master Treks” in Phoenix no longer existing.

The registration is by mail, on-site or at Events4chess.com using a credit card.

Keep checking on events4chess.com to see all the new registrants per section!
